I got an amazing email when I got home tonight! Here it is!
“I’m french and I live and study in Clermont Ferrand. I’ve seen Trolls yesterday evening and I just wanted to show you my support ! I absolutely LOVED Trolls! I really hope you get a price tonight! Your story is great and the young actors you picked are amazing (it’s funny I watch the Fringe episode in which plays Sierra Pitkin only 2 days before I watched Trolls). I had so much fun watching Trolls! The hole audience laughed a lot.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I loved your work and trust me, I’m not the only one !
Congratulation on a great short film ! I wish you to get the success you deserve.
I’m looking forward to see what you’re going to do next!
Marina.”

Dawson Dunbar (or Billy as we know him) Has Been Work-work-Working! 25 Jan 2010, 4:04 pm
Dawson Dunbar who stars in “Trolls” as Billy – the nine-year-old who is just beginning to figure out that a little something called sex exists – has been involved in a variety of recent film projects including everything from horror films, to faux infomercials and music videos.
Here are links to a few of them.
Most of Dawson’s videos can be found at www.dawsondunbar.com however you can get some of the highlights below!
“Vessles” (2010), Horror Film Trailer – A glimpse into the like and dramas of a good family. Festivals TBA
Dawson starred in Broadcast 2000’s music video “Rouse Your Bones” (2010). Dawson’s brother Talon is also in this music video! Do we have some siblings rising to superstardom? Dawson is in the leapord print hat!
Dawson is the Principal in Ryan Knorr’s music video “What About Me” (2010). The video is really well made and has a great twist at the end, not to mention how awesome Dawson is in it! The video is on YouTube where you can also find free downloads of all Ryan Knorr’s songs (Yes I took advantage of this
)
The quirkiest of Dawson’s recent projects in the student infomercial “The Domestickator” (2009). A Domestickator is a device “To temporarily incapacitate your child’s movement.” They only have 5000 so order now!………. (By the way this is not real in case you really wanted one)
In addition to all of this, Dawson recently completed filming a couple of UBC student productions including, “Haunt”, and “Little Big Kid” which will be playing at the UBC Persistence of Vision (POV) Festival in April 2010.
The short film “Donor” (2010) just wrapped and Dawson will grace the screen in it once again. The film is expected to screen at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2010.
Dawson also just finished filming “Spelling Bee”, which is a short film that will air on Knowledge Network at the end of April 2010 as well as on the First Nations website.
Dawson stepped into the commercials world once again with a “Captains Cove Marina” ad which will appear on their website early this year.
Dawson’s mom Marnie said “You think this is alot! There are more projects that Dawson has wrapped but the info on trailers, release dates and all that jazz just hasn’t been released yet!”
Congrats Dawson! And good job Marnie for keeping up and supporting this budding star.
